Obituary

Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, for Marybelle Dalessandro, 2456 Victoria Drive, Hermitage, who passed away peacefully at 2:30 p.m. Friday (4-3-09) in the Cleveland Clinic following an extended illness. She was 83.
Mrs. Dalessandro was born on March 5, 1926 in New Castle, Pa. the daughter of John and Clara Belle Cover Glenn.
She graduated from New Castle High School in 1944.
In her early years she was employed by the former Shenango Pottery, New Castle.
A homemaker, she belonged to Church of the Notre Dame, Hermitage and was a member of the former Ave Maria Society.
She enjoyed sewing, cooking, and she especially loved quilting beautiful blankets for her family.
She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and she will be sadly missed by her family and all of those who were blessed to have known her.
Her husband Philip A. Dalessandro whom she married on October 22, 1955, survives at the residence.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Marla J. Dalessandro, Hermitage; three sons David G. Dalessandro and his wife Beverly, Orwell, Ohio; Gary A. Dalessandro and his wife Cyndi, Sharpsville; John P. Dalessandro and his wife Jennifer, Pittsburgh; three sisters, Charlotte Jones, New Castle; Clara Mae Hardisky, Greenville, SC; Edna Mack, Hermitage; a brother Richard Glenn and his wife Jayne, Mercer; six grandchildren, David, Susan, Cristen, Brianna, Sienna, and Lucas Dalessandro. Mrs. Dalessandro is also survived by many nieces and nephews who will remember her fondly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her four brothers Clarence, John, Chester, and an infant Francis, and an infant sister, Dorthea Glenn, and one nephew, Richard D. Glenn.
In lieu of flowers, her family suggests that memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Notre Dame School 2335 Highland Road, Hermitage Pa. 16148
Calling hours: 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Monday (4-6-09) in the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. 1090 E. State St. Sharon.
Services: Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday (4-7-09) in the Church of Notre Dame with her nephew, Rev. Dennis G. Dalessandro, Pastor of Saint Andrew Catholic Church, Waynesboro, PA., and Rev. Jeffery J. Noble, pastor of the church as concelebrants.
Entombment: St. Rose Cemetery Mausoleum, Hermitage.
