Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Wiesen, 105, of Hermitage, passed away on Sunday afternoon, February 18, 2024, in her home.

Mrs. Wiesen was born on February 6, 1919, in Sharon, a daughter of the late Henry and Catherine (Klaser) Miller. She attended the former St. Joseph Parochial Grade School and Sharon High School.

She worked at the former Sharon Store before marriage and becoming a homemaker.

Betty was a member of St. Joseph's Church, Sharon, where she was a member of the Women's Guild.

She enjoyed trips to Las Vegas and playing bingo and scratch-off tickets. Betty was also an exceptional baker.

Her husband, Ralph L. Wiesen, whom she married on June 21, 1947, passed away on April 9, 2004.

She is survived by four children, Thomas Wiesen and his wife Diane, Hermitage, James Wiesen, Las Vegas, NV, William Wiesen and his wife Paula, Hermitage, and Alice Wiesen, with whom she made her home; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Betty was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Dixie Wiesen; and four brothers, Edward, William, Ralph and George Miller.

The family suggests memorial contributions be directed to St. Joseph's Church, 79 Case Ave., Sharon, PA 16146; or a charity of the donor's choice.

The family would like to thank the Golden Care Givers, especially Kimi and Nancy, for the exceptional care and attention given to their mother.
