Mary Ann Robertson, formerly of Sharon, and a resident of Nugent Convalescent Home, Hermitage, for the past 9 years, passed away at 4:40 p.m. Wednesday, January 25, 2017, in the intensive care unit of Sharon Regional Health System. She was 77.
Mrs. Robertson was born June 28, 1939, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of Robert and Odella Swain Yarnell.
She was a homemaker and was employed at the former Thornton Hall Golden Dawn in Sharon for many years.
Mary Ann was of the Catholic faith and enjoyed playing bingo.
Surviving are: two daughters, Violet G. Phillips and her husband Walter, Sharon; and Cynthia M. Gregory and her husband Michael, Sharpsville; two sons, Michael S. Tighe, Oil City, PA; and Shawn P. Tighe and his wife Christine, Sharpsville; three sisters, Rebecca Hoffer, Sharpsville; Catherine Cooper, Tennessee; and Martha Yarnell, Jacksonville, FL; a step-brother, Louis Hoffer, Erie, PA; twelve grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Maureen Anderson; a son, Daniel Tighe; and a brother, Robert Yarnell.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
