Mary Margaret O'Donnell, Pittsburgh, PA; formerly of W. Meyer Ave., New Castle, PA passed away at 6:30 a.m. Wednesday (6-15-11) in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was 98.
Mrs. O'Donnell was born March 5, 1913 in New Castle a daughter of the late Richard P. and Julia Gertrude Moore Hannon.
She was a graduate of Union High School.
Early in her life, Mary was a secretary at a number of businesses, including the former United Engineering Foundry in New Castle where she was employed for five years.
She was a homemaker and an active member of Mary Mother of Hope Parish, St. Mary Church in New Castle where she belonged to the Ladies Guild, the 500 Club and the Little Flower Club.
Her husband, Bernard Cyril O'Donnell, whom she married September 21, 1947, passed away in 1974.
Surviving are: three daughters, Kathleen O'Donnell, Pittsburgh; Patricia Sanderson and her husband Jerome, Morgantown, Indiana; and Margaret O'Donnell, California; four grandchildren, John, Misha, Molly and Maria Sanderson; and a sister, Catherine Nene, New Castle.
Besides her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by a sister, Helen E. Hannon; and a brother, James Hannon.

Mass of Christian burial will be 9 a.m. Saturday (6-18-11) in Mary Mother of Hope Parish, St. Mary Church, New Castle with the Rev. Victor Molka, pastor, as celebrant.
Interment: St. Mary Cemetery.
