Mary Jess Lavoie, 226 Crawford Drive, in the Patagonia area of Hermitage, passed away tragically on Saturday evening from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident on Route 846 in South Pymatuning Township. She was 18.
She was born on February 8, 1993 in Columbus, Ohio the daughter of Kenneth and Tammie L. Brenner Lavoie.
She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church in Sharon where she sang in the choir and took part in the Wednesday night youth group.
Mary Jess was a student at Hickory High School who was prepared to graduate on June 9th, of this year. As a student at Hickory High School, she was a member of their Chamber choir and played trumpet in both their Concert and Marching Bands. She was an accomplished artist who loved to paint and was a member of the Hickory High School's Stage Crew.
She was a strong willed girl who was named after both her grandmothers. Mary Jess was planning to matriculate to Edinboro University next fall to further her education.
She leaves her mother Tammie L. Lavoie with whom she lived, her father Kenneth Lavoie of Evansville, Indiana, her sister, Sarah Emily Lavoie, at home, her maternal grandparents Edward B. and Patricia J. (Noga) Brenner , Brookfield, Ohio, her aunt Tonya VanOrd and her husband David, and her three cousins Amanda Clark, and Sage, and Brennen VanOrd; and her nanny Margaret Noga, Hermitage.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Leroy and Helen Lavoie.
