MaryAnn (Rogan) James, 90, of Sharon, passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at Nugent's Nursing and Rehabilitation after a battle with Alzheimer's.
Mrs. James was born on May 25, 1934, in Sharon, a daughter of the late John P. and Frances Rogan. A lifelong area resident, she was a graduate of Sharon High School.
MaryAnn was a longtime employee of the former Sharon General Hospital, where she worked in the dietary department.
MaryAnn was a member of St. Joseph's Church, Sharon. She was known around Sharon and the Shenango Valley for her energy, spunk, and witty comebacks, and had a contagious laugh and smile. While living in Sharon Mary Ann loved to walk to her destination where store and pharmacy personnel looked forward to her visits. She was appreciative of the little things in life like bananas, ice cream, and chocolate cake. She also had a genuine love of animals (real or stuffed) She loved Jesus, angels and a purse or new set of slippers and pajamas.
She is survived by her husband, David C. James, whom she married on December 26, 2013; three step-daughters, Denise Spradlin, of Huffman, TX, Tammy Chumley, of Liberty, OH, and Laurie James Blackann, of New Castle, PA; two nephews, Tom and Terry Sincich; and several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, MaryAnn was preceded in death by her beloved sister, Frances Sincich; and two brothers, James and John Rogan.
