Mary Isabelle Fellion, 79, of New Castle, formerly of Kaneohe, Hawaii, passed away at 11:05 p.m. Sunday, April 10, 2016.

Mrs. Fellion was born April 1, 1937 in Kamuela, Hawaii, a daughter of the late Antone and Mary Francis Braz Vierra. She is a 1955 graduate of Castle High School, Kaneohe, Oahu.

Mary retired as an optometrist assistant from the office of Dr. Joseph L Moretto.

Mary was a devote member of St. Mary's Church, Mary Mother of Hope Parish where she was a former CCD instructor, a longtime member the Blue Army of Our Lady of Fatima and a member of PCUC. Also, she actively supported many charities including: Toys for Tots, Wounded Warriors, Disabled Veterans, Salesian Missions, Our Lady of Lebanon and Our Lady of Fatima organizations.

Above all else, Mary was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother to her family.

She is survived by: her husband, Robert L. Fellion, whom she married November 25, 1956; three daughters, Kathleen Fellion of Boulder City, NV; Laura Fellion-Zasadni (Brett), and Elizabeth Lansheak (Michael) all of New Castle; four sons, Patrick Fellion (Christine), Michael Fellion (Pamela), Jonathan Fellion, and Carl Fellion (Elaine) all of New Castle; seven sisters, Gwendolyn Fisher, Audrey Tilley, Evelyn Majalca,  Teresa Lopez, Jane Chu, Maureen Horiuchi, and Miriam Bascas; two brothers, Antone Vierra, Jr. and Gerard Vierra. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents.

Calling hours will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. today (4-13-16) in the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 111 W. Falls St.

A procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday (4-14-16) for St. Mary's Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. by Rev. Frank Almade, pastor.

Burial will follow in Madonna Cemetery.
