Mary M. Fagan, formerly of Hermitage, passed away at 3:55 a.m. Wednesday, May 9, 2012, in Rolling Fields Nursing Home, Conneautville, PA after an extended illness. She was 89.
Mrs. Fagan was born December 16, 1922 in Sharon, a daughter of John and Ellen 'Nell' Connelly Boyle. She was a 1940 graduate of Sharon High School and, years earlier, was employed as an operator for Bell Telephone.
Mary was a homemaker and a charter member of the Church of Notre Dame, Hermitage, where she was active in many activities, including the Altar and Rosary Society and the funeral luncheon group.
She was a member of the former Sharon Country Club where she enjoyed bridge. She served as president of the bridge club and also belonged to a bridge club of close friends for 45 years.
Her husband, Charles D. Fagan, whom she married June 5, 1948, passed away October 25, 1998. He was a past president of the family business, Sharpsville Steel Fabricators, Inc.
Surviving are: two daughters; Mary Anne Smith and her husband Leonard, Phoenix, AZ; and Susan McQuiston, Cochranton, PA; five sons, C. Dennis Fagan, Houston, Texas; John P. Fagan and his wife Judy, Transfer, PA; Daniel T. Fagan and Michael T. Fagan and his wife Robin, all Taylor, Texas; and James W. Fagan, Oahu, Hawaii; two sisters, Ellen Erb and her husband Wallace, Toledo, Ohio; and Alice Orr, Erie, PA; three brothers, John 'Jack' Boyle and his wife Vivian; and Michael Boyle, all Columbus, Ohio; and Thomas Boyle and his wife Sharon, Orlando, Florida; nine grandchildren, Andrew Sell and his wife Lesley; Amber Fagan, Adam Sell, Katie Haag and her husband Lewis; Kelly McQuiston and her fiancé Bob Brittingham; Robert and Eric McQuiston; Alex Aminzadeh and Mary Rose Fagan; three great grandchildren, Nathan Locke, Grace Haag and Bella Brittingham; a son-in-law, Sia Aminzadeh; and a sister-in-law, Winifred Boyle, Orlando, FL.
Besides her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by a daughter, Jeannie E. Aminzadeh; a brother James Boyle; and a sister, Sally Stanek.
The family suggests memorial contribution may be made to National Brain Tumor Society.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 12, 2012 in the Church of Notre Dame.
Internment will be in St. Rose Cemetery.
