Mary Eleanor "Dee Dee" Davidson, Hopper Rd. Transfer, Pa., Formerly of Reno, Pa., (Venango County) passed away of natural causes at 5:18 p.m. on Saturday (8-25-12) at her residence. She was 104.
She was born on May 29, 1908 in Springfield Township, (Mercer County) the daughter of David Alexander Baker and Mary Louise Cotton Baker.
She was a member of Grove City High Schools graduating class of 1926 and she attended Slippery Rock College.
A homemaker, she enjoyed working as a child day care provider in her later years in the Franklin area.
She was a 75 year member at Grace United Methodist Church in Oil City, and she was their oldest living member.
While raising her children she was very active with the Girl Scouts of America and she was also active in the Parent Teacher Association for a number of years.
Her husband John Carl Davidson whom she married on June 27, 1927, passed away on February 23, 1980.
She leaves her son, John William Davidson of Bridgeport, NY, and a daughter Mary Carlene Hills and her husband Mark F. with whom she lived. A loving grandmother she is survived by her five Grandchildren, Tracy Davidson, Philadelphia, Stephen Davidson and his wife Robin, Sicklerville, NJ., Kelly Davidson-Chatwin and her husband Mark, Bridgeport, NY, Stephanie Wilson and her husband Joseph, Greenville, and Jennifer Fisher, Fredonia, and four great grandchildren, Anna and Elise Chatwin, and Taylor and Jacob Davidson.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Florence Thompson, and two brothers, George and Clair Baker.

Services: A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel Wednesday (8-29-12) with the Rev. Paul Mitchell, retired Methodist Minister officiating.
