Obituary

Mary Ann Doddato, 129 Emerson Ave., Farrell, passed away peacefully following an extended illness at 10:40 p.m. Sunday (2-7-10) in John XXIII Home, Hermitage. She was 80.

She was born on March 7, 1929 in Sharon the daughter of George and Freda Kelly Kashmer.

Mrs. Doddato worked in banking as a bookkeeper for First National Bank and later retired as a bank teller at Mellon Bank, both Hermitage.

A homemaker, she belonged Our Lady of Fatima- St. Ann Church, Farrell.

Mary enjoyed traveling, caring for her flower garden, and she especially loved to spend time with her grandchildren and her dog 'Pepper'.

Her husband, Anthony P. Doddato, whom she married on May 1, 1954, survives at home.

Also surviving are her two sons, James Doddato and his wife Patricia, Vienna, Oh, and Paul Doddato and his wife Tina, Eighty Four Pa; her five sisters, Edna Riffe, Transfer, Dorothy Bukovinsky and her husband Ed, Sharpsville, Margaret May and her husband Jack, Cortland, Oh., Helen Kashmer, Hubbard, Oh., Christine LaRocca, Florida; five brothers, Edward Kashmier and his wife Joanna ,New York, George Kashmer Jr., South Carolina, William Kashmer and his wife Sandra, Masury, Paul Kashmer and his wife Winona of Virginia, and James Kashmer, Sharon; her 5 grandchildren, Joshua, Benjamin, Sarah, Miranda, and Marcus Doddato.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Catherine Morrison and an infant son David.

Services: 10:30 a.m. on Friday (2-12-10) in Our Lady of Fatima-St. Ann Church 601 Roemer Blvd., Farrell with Rev. Donald E. Berdis, pastor as the celebrant. A brief prayer service will take place at 9:45 a.m. in the funeral home prior to leaving for the church.

Interment: St. Anthony's Cemetery, Hermitage.
