Mary DeMaio, Sharon, PA passed away at 5:50 p.m. Tuesday (7-14-15) in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System. She was 93. She was born March 21, 1922 in Sharon, the daughter of Guy and Elvira Remigio Mastroianni. She attended St. Joseph's Elementary School and graduated from Sharon High School During the war she worked at the Westinghouse Electric Corporation, Sharon. She was a happy homemaker. She was a lifelong member of St. Joseph's Church, Sharon and was active for many years in their Women's Guild. She and her husband made a cursillo together in 1967. At one time she was a volunteer at the Prince of Peace Center, Farrell. Her husband, Paul J. DeMaio, whom she married June 14, 1941, passed away January 10, 1977. She is survived by a daughter Diane duMaire and her husband, Robert F., Waterford, Vermont; a sister, Helen Donadio, Sharon; two grandsons, Todd and Robert J. duMaire; two great grandchildren, Karah and Vincent duMaire, all El Paso, TX; and a very dear nephew, Robert Donadio and his wife Patty, New Castle. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a brother, Pat Mastroianni. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the charity of the donor's choice. Services: Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday (7-18-15) at 10:00 a.m. in St. Rose Cemetery Chapel, Dutch Lane, Hermitage, with the Rev.Thomas J. Whitman, pastor of St. Joseph's Church as celebrant. Interment: St. Rose Cemetery, Hermitage.
