Obituary

Mary Margaret "Marge" Crawford, 90, formerly of White Ave., Sharon, passed away on Thursday, May 29, 2025.

Mrs. Crawford was born on May 19, 1935, in Youngstown, OH, a daughter of the late Raymond and Margaret "Peg" (Dach) Weirick. A lifelong area resident, she was a 1953 graduate of Sharon High School.

Following her education, she worked at the former Shontz and Meyers in downtown Sharon. Upon its closure, Marge began working at Wheaton and Son's, Hermitage, where she was employed into her 80's. While working, she loved it when local students would come to her requesting "Mrs. C" or "Grandma Marge" for advice on selecting the perfect tuxedo for prom or special occasions.

Marge was a member of St. Joseph's Church, Sharon.

A fiercely loving mother, she attended every sporting event and activity possible that her children and grandchildren participated in. Marge was also an avid fan of the Sharon Tigers and the Pittsburgh Panthers and Steelers.

She married Thomas K. Crawford on November 23, 1957, who passed away in December of 1978.

She is survived by five daughters, Linda Sommerfeld, of Sharon, Debra Yeager (Tim), of Sharpsville, Michelle Dolci (Dennis), of Florida, Sandra Page, of Sharon, and Kimberly Crawford (Nicole Aber), who was her caretaker the last two years, of Pittsburgh, PA; a son, Thomas Crawford, of Sharon; 15 grandchildren, Jeffrey, Nicole, Jaime-Lynn, Ashley, Erika, Hanley, Anthony, Angela, Jacqueline, Cara, Dylan, Justin, Tommy, Ian and Amelia; and 19 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Betty Cordo, of Tennessee, and Alice Kober, of Toledo, OH; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Marge was preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond and James Weirick.

The family suggests memorial contributions be directed to a charity of the donor's choice.
