Mary Eileen Antos passed away peacefully of natural causes at 3:15 a.m. Sunday (10-26-14) in John XXIII Home, Hermitage. She was 93. Mrs. Antos was born Oct. 7, 1921, in Chesterton, Porter County, Ind., one of four children of John and Anna Ameling Dunn. She was raised in Chesterton and graduated from Chesterton High School. In her early years she worked for U.S. Steel Corp. where she operated a comptometer, the first key-driven mechanical calculator in its day. A homemaker, she was an active member of Church of Notre Dame, Hermitage. Mary Eileen loved to play cards, especially a good game of bridge. Her husband, Joseph Antos, whom she married Aug. 26, 1944, passed away on August 20, 2007. She is survived by her two sons, Dr. Robert W. Antos, Hermitage; and Richard J. Antos and his wife Kathy, Winter Springs, Fla.; two granddaughters, Karen Antos French and her husband Joshua, Sharon, Mass.; and Julie Antos, Orlando, Fla. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Antos was preceded in death by her two brothers, Richard and James Dunn, and her sister, Rita Fournier.
