Martha C. Heldorfer, 130 Strawbridge Ave., Sharon, passed away at 10:25 a.m. Tuesday (5-3-11) in St. Paul Homes, Greenville, after an extended illness with Parkinson's disease. She was 85.
Ms. Heldorfer was born November 13, 1925 in Sharon a daughter of the late John J. and Mary Anna Rusbushan Heldorfer.
She attended St. Joseph Parochial Grade School and was a 1943 graduate of Sharon High School.
Martha retired in 1991 from the metallurgy department of Sharon Steel Corporation where she was employed for 31 years. She previously worked at the former Sharon Store.
Martha was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Church, Sharon. She was also a member of John XXIII Home Auxiliary and the Travelers Club. 'Aunt', as she was affectionately known, doted on her nieces and nephews. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed sewing and crocheting.
Surviving are: a sister-in-law, Peggy Heldorfer, Sharon; three nieces, Mary Ann Lambrechts and her husband Don, Ellicott City, Maryland; and Karen and Dianne Heldorfer, both Richmond, VA; a nephew, John Heldorfer and his wife Denise; and a grand niece, Jacqueline Heldorfer, all New Castle, DE.
Besides her parents, Martha was preceded in death by a brother John 'Jack' Heldorfer.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to all of Aunt Martha's caregivers, particularly, Sandy, Valerie, Jeannie and Rose.

Mass of Christian burial will be 12:30 p.m. Friday (5-6-11) in St. Joseph Church, Sharon, with the Rev. Glenn R. Whitman, pastor, as celebrant.
Family will receive friends one hour prior to the Mass in the gathering space of St. Joseph Church.
