Obituary

Florence Marlene Mitchell of 7305 Stewart-Sharon Road Apt #2 Hubbard, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday (8-21-10) at 9:10 pm, in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh.

Marlene as she was known was born January 15, 1936 in Farrell, the daughter of Martin and Florence Moroco Bottar.

A lifelong resident of Brookfield, she graduated Brookfield High School in 1954. A homemaker, she worked at one time for Dr. James H. Maruschak, Brookfield.

She was a member of St. Patrick's Church, Hubbard, and former member of St. Joseph's Church.

Marlene was a mover and a shaker who rarely missed any social event she was interested in. She volunteered much of her time to Animal charities and collected items to help out the local humane society. As a strong animal advocate, she found homes for many stray animals over the years.

She will be remembered for her sense of humor, kind actions, Christian faith, riding in her convertible and being an excellent cook, mother and grandmother.

Her husband, Melvin (Rocky) Mitchell, whom she married May 4, 1954, passed away May 23, 1973.

She is survived by her daughter with whom she made her home, Maria Adams and her companion Sean O'Brien of Brookfield; one son Christopher M. Mitchell and his wife Monica, North Jackson, Ohio; two brothers Daniel Bottar and his wife Judy, Brookfield, Ohio, and Martin Bottar and his wife Eleanor, Vienna Ohio; five grandchildren Paige M. Adams, Brookfield, Brandon P., Evan W., Scott M., and Katie M. Mitchell, North Jackson, Ohio; three nieces Heidi Baldy, Holly Cross and Jennifer Linsky and one nephew Scott Bottar; two beloved dogs Winston and Antonio

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.

Adeline S. Mitrovich of Custer-Orangeville Rd. Masury, passed away peacefully at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 8, 2011 in her residence. She was 94.

She was born on January 3, 1917 in Farrell, PA, the daughter of Bernard and Michaelene Pulaski Nych.

She attended Bethel School, which was a one room school house in Lackawonnock Twp.

Adeline was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Bernadette's Catholic Church in Masury and was involved with the Women's Club at the Church. Adeline was a member of the Pymatuning Valley Garden Club, and was a volunteer at Sharon Regional Health Systems for 34 years. With her husband she was involved in the GATX Retiree's Club and the Brookfield Conservation Club.

She is survived by; her husband, Peter Mitrovich, whom she married September 18, 1937, they celebrated 74 years of marriage. Adeline is also survived by, Josephine Kuzel and her husband Michael of Masury, and Lucille Mitrovich and her husband David Ress of Austin, TX; a son, Ronald and his wife Annalisa Mitrovich of Twinsburg, OH; 2 sisters, Mary Downing of Sharpsville and Julia McClimans of Everett, WA; a brother, Adam Nych of New Wilmington' 2 grandsons, Michael Kuzel, Robert Kuzel M.D.; Twin Granddaughters, Tonia (Mitrovich) Copsey and Nicole (Mitrovich) Centeno; 2 great grandchildren, Maeve and Madan.

Besides her parents, Adeline was preceded in death by 5 brothers, Julius, Stanley, Edward, and 2 infant brothers; 2 sisters, Lucy Graham and Mildred Olshavsky.

Calling hours will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, October 14, 2011 in St. Joseph's Church.
