Mark J. Panin Jr. of Hermitage passed away peacefully at home at 7 a.m. Tuesday, March 8, 2016. He was 27.

Mark was born on Oct. 23, 1988, in Fredericksburg, Va., the son of Mark J. Panin Sr. and Jane E. Black Panin.

He graduated from Hickory High School in 2010 and he had enjoyed spending time at Verland with caregivers and friends.

Mark enjoyed the simple things in life, listening to music and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his parents, Mark and Jane Panin, with whom he lived; and a sister, Jacquelyn E. Panin, of Sharon, and her children, Bryanna, and Brayden.

He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents.

His family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the charity of the donor's choice.

Services: Noon Monday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Jeffery J. Noble, pastor of Notre Dame Church, Hermitage, officiating.

Interment: Oakwood Cemetery, Hermitage.
