Obituary

Mark A. Cogley, 54, of Transfer passed early Tuesday morning, May 7, 2024, in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Youngstown, OH.

Mr. Cogley was born October 2, 1969, in Sharon, a son of the late Thomas and Peggy (Wilcox) Cogley and was a 1988 graduate of Hickory High School, Hermitage.

For more than 20 years, Mark worked at Mercer Forge, Mercer. Previously, he owned and operated Gary's Archery Shop, Grove City.

Mark was of the Christian faith.

Earlier in life, he enjoyed being outdoors hunting and was a card-carrying Benefactor of the NRA. Mark's love for U.S. History also led to his appreciation and collection of fountain pens.

Above all, Mark was a dad and cherished the time he spent with his three sons.

He is survived by three sons, Brendon, Jason, and Logan Cogley, all of Transfer; the mother of his three children, Shanna Parker, Sharpsville; a sister, Krista Johnson (Todd), Masury, OH; a nephew, Jarrett Johnson; and two nieces, Kayla and MaKenzie Johnson.

Calling hours will be 10 to 11 a.m. Monday (5-13-24) in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 E. State St., Sharon. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.McGonigleFuneralHomeandCrematory.com.

Funeral service will be immediately following at 11 a.m., in the funeral home, with Rev. Aaron Lego, officiating.

Interment: Morefield Cemetery, Hermitage.
