Mark W. Cione of Sharon passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 9, 2017, in his residence. He was 56. Mr. Cione was born May 24, 1960, in Sharon, a son of William and Margaret Harkulich Cione.
He was a lifelong area resident and a 1978 graduate of Sharon High School. Mark was employed at Sharon Steel's former Farrell plant for fifteen years before its closing. He then worked at New Castle Rolling Mills and, most recently, was employed by Liberty Steel, Masury. He was a member of the Slovenian Working Men's Club in Sharon and enjoyed golfing, particularly at Tam O'Shanter Golf Course. Mark also loved to cook, mostly Italian dishes.
Surviving are two sons, Ian M. Cione and his girlfriend Rachel Esparza, of Draper, Utah; and Nathan A. Cione, of Sharon; his mother, Margaret Cione, of Sharon; five sisters, Barbara Becker, of Sharon; Kathy Shamrock, of Warren, Ohio; Sandra Combine and her husband Tony, of Beaver, PA; Lianne Greer, of Hermitage; and Lisa Cione Callahan, of Hermitage; a brother, Mel Cione, of Hermitage; and his former wife and his sons mother, Tamara F. Kitch, of Sharon.
Mark was preceded in death by his father.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
