Marjorie V. Garnett of Mercer passed away at 5:52 p.m. Sunday, December 10, 2017, in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System. She was 88.

Mrs. Garnett was born April 6, 1929, in Homewood, KS, a daughter of Thomas and Rose Mary (Strider) Pool. She was an Army wife and a longtime waitress.

Surviving is two daughters, Betty Szejniuk and her husband Nathan, VA; and Patsy Sydes and her husband Michael, Jacksonville, NC; and three sons, Micheal Payne and his wife Carolyn, KY; Steven Garnett and his wife Amber, East Liverpool, OH; and James Garnett and his wife Amy, Masury, OH; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents; and a daughter, Glenda Roseberry.

There are no calling hours. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
