Marion E. Roberts, 88, of Lackawannock Twp., passed away Tuesday morning, February 1, 2022, in Quality Life Services, Mercer.
Mrs. Roberts was born May 14, 1933, in Sharon, a daughter of the late John Daniel and Amelia (Bella) Murchek. She was a 1951 graduate of Sharon High School.
Prior to becoming a homemaker, Marion was employed for 15 years as an order processor at Sharon Steel's former Farrell plant.
Marion was a member of Saints Peter and Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Sharon.
She was active in her community, volunteering as the secretary of the Lackawannock Twp. Civic League and assisting at the voting poll. Above all she had a passion for cooking, listening to music and singing, and loving her grandchildren.
Her husband, Walter Gene Roberts, whom she married February 5, 1966, passed away May 30, 2019.
She is survived by a daughter, Amy Hartman and her husband Todd, Hummelstown, PA; two sons, Jay Roberts and his wife Claudia, Mercer, and Douglas Roberts and his wife Jacqueline, Sharpsville; two grandchildren, Tori and Travis Roberts; and three brothers, John Murchek, Canfield, OH, Milan Murchek and his wife Nancy, AZ, and Paul Murchek, Sharon.
In addition to her parents and husband, Marion was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Listiak.
The family suggests memorial contributions be directed to Saints Peter and Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, 699 Stambaugh Ave., Sharon, PA 16146.
Due to concerns surrounding Covid-19, all services are private.
Interment: Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, Hermitage.
