Marilynn J. Weyer, 80, of Hermitage passed away peacefully surrounded by her family early Monday morning, March 11, 2024, in her home.

Mrs. Weyer was born September 24, 1943, in Bellevue, PA, a daughter of the late Charles W. and Bess (Witherspoon) Ohr. A 1961 graduate of Hickory High School, Hermitage, she also attended Slippery Rock University.

For over 20 years, Marilynn worked as the activities aide at John XXIII Home, Hermitage, where she was also active in the Women's Auxillary throughout her tenure.

Marilynn was of the Methodist faith.

She had a deep appreciation for nature and animals. Marilynn loved birds, especially cardinals, and collected many throughout her life. A wonderful hostess, she had a passion for cooking and feeding others, no matter how large the crowd.

Above all else, she cherished the time she was able to spend with her family.

Marilynn is survived by her daughter, Denise Weyer, with whom she made her home in Hermitage; two granddaughters, Hannah Reese, Hermitage, and Rachael Root (Stanley), Sharon; four great-grandchildren, Cassidy, Cadence, Cameryn, and Casen; and a sister, Carol Carlson, Mercer.

In addition to her parents, Marilynn was preceded in death by her son, Dale Weyer.
