Marie Germaine Reagle, 95, of Neshannock Twp. passed away peacefully early Monday morning, April 29, 2024, in her home.

Mrs. Reagle was born January 4, 1929, in Greenville, PA, a daughter of the late Theodore H. and Marie G. (Fitzmartin) Husted.

A true matriarch, Marie dedicated her life to caring for her husband and their 12 children. Later in life, she was able to work at the New Castle News where she truly enjoyed the friendships and memories she made over the years.

Her husband of 44 years, Raymond E. Reagle, whom she married June 2, 1949, preceded her in death on January 9, 1994.

Marie was a member of the Holy Spirit Parish of New Castle – St. Mary's Church.

A prolific reader, Marie also enjoyed playing Rummy, completing jigsaw puzzles, cheering on her beloved Pittsburgh Steelers, and indulging in her lifelong favorite dessert – Peanut Buster parfait.

Marie is survived by 10 children, William P. Reagle (Paulette), of Clifton, VA, Raymond E. Reagle (Linda) and Joanne M. Thompson (Michael), all of Murrells Inlet, SC, Joseph P. Reagle (Caroline), of New Castle, Michele M. Russell (James), of Cape Elizabeth, ME, Dennis J. Reagle, of Seminole, FL, Jane A. McCleery (Scott), Ft. Wayne, IN, Susan A. Ecola (Christopher), Hermitage, Kathleen E. Book, of Huntertown, IN, and James A. Reagle, of New Castle; a daughter-in-law, Nancy Reagle, of New Castle; 28 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

In addition to her husband and parents, Marie was preceded in death by two sons, Thomas M. and Robert T. Reagle; a daughter-in-law, Sherry Reagle; a sister, Mary Alice Sutter; and a brother, Theodore H. Husted.

Calling hours will be 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday (5-1-24) in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 111 W. Falls St., New Castle.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, in St. Mary's Church, 124 N. Beaver St., New Castle, with Rev. Ben Barr, as celebrant.

Interment: St. Mary's Cemetery, Union Twp.
