Marie Grace Mistretta, John XXIII Home, 2250 Shenango Valley Freeway, Hermitage; formerly of N. Stateline Rd. and Thornton Ave., both Sharon, passed away at 8:13 p.m. Thursday (6-2-11) in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System of complications from a fall a week earlier. She was 93.

Mrs. Mistretta was born August 25, 1917 in Sharon a daughter of Fernando and Rose Marola Conti.

She was a lifelong area resident and attended Sharon schools.

During World War II, she was employed at the former General American Transportation Corp., Masury, Ohio. Grace was a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting.

She was a lifelong member of Church of the Sacred Heart, Sharon.

Her husband, Frank Mistretta, Sr., whom she married October 6, 1934, passed away March 1, 1984.

Surviving are: a son, Frank Mistretta, Jr. and his wife Norma, Sharpsville; a granddaughter, Cynthia Infiesto and her husband Carl, Alva, Florida; two grandsons, Frank Mistretta, III, Sharpsville; and Dr. John Mistretta, Warren, Ohio; a great granddaughter, Amanda Mistretta, Del Ray Beach, Florida; a great grandson, Nicolas Infiesto, also Alva, Florida; two sisters, Rachael Zoccola, Ohio and formerly of Sharon; and Lucy Zakrzewski, Hermitage; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband, Marie was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Mary Paoletta, Louisa Zoccola, Julia Yannerella and Rose Dorus; three brothers, Anthony, Joseph and Fred Conti; and her step-father, Louis Ross.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to John XXIII Home, 2250 Shenango Valley Freeway, Hermitage, PA 16148.

Calling hours will be from 3-6 p.m. Monday (6-6-11) in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 E. State St., Sharon.

Mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m. Tuesday (6-7-11) in St. Joseph Church, Sharon, with the Rev. Joseph Campbell, parochial vicar, as celebrant.
