Marie T. Cook, John XXIII Home, 2250 Shenango Valley Freeway, Hermitage, Pa 16148, formerly of Service Avenue, Sharon, passed away at 5:15 a.m. Saturday (7-14-12) in John XXIII Home. She was 96.

Marie was born February 8, 1916 in Monessen, PA the daughter of Andrew and Anna Burick Tablac.

She was a 1934 graduate of Warren Harding High School, Warren, Ohio.

Marie was a homemaker and prior to her marriage she was employed as a secretary by various banks and attorney's offices in Warren, OH and she also worked at Shenango Steel Company in Sharpsville for a short time.

She was a member of St. Joseph's Church, Sharon, and the Hermitage Women's Club where she was active in their gardening group. She also belonged to the Hermitage chapter of AARP.

Her husband, William M. Cook, whom she married February 1, 1941, passed away October 29, 2004.

Marie is survived by several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and her parents, she is preceded in death by four brothers, Michael, Andrew, George, and John Tablac; four sisters, Ann Campbell, Kathryn Bell, Susan Bush, and Helen Williams.

Interment: St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Hermitage.
