Marie A. Burnett, 8019 Superior St. Masury, passed away at 11:55 a.m. on Saturday, June 2, 2012, in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health Systems. She was 80.

Mrs. Burnett was born May 28, 1932 in Sharon, a daughter of Mike and Mary C. Ezzo Altiere Sr.

She attended Hubbard School. Marie was a homemaker, in her earlier years she was employed at Harvell's and Packard Electric.

Marie was a member of Sacred Heart Church. She also enjoyed being involved in card clubs, bowling, ceramics, and working on puzzles. Most importantly she loved spending time with her family, and held the church dear to her heart.

Surviving are: her husband, Charles Burnet, whom she married August 18, 1956; 3 children, Debra and her husband Perry Lucas of Seminole, FL, Charles Burnett Jr. of Masury, OH, and Rosemarie O'Brien of Brookfield;; 3 sisters, Cecelia and her husband Ralph Cooper of Hubbard, Jean and her husband Joseph Votino of Hubbard, and Patricia and her husband Jim Coie of Upland, CA; a brother, Michael and his wife Barbara Altiere Jr. of Cortland, OH; 3 grandchildren, Gina Marie Morocco, Christopher Robert O'Brien, and Vanessa Marie O'Brien.

In addition to her parents, Marie was preceded in death by a brother Sam Altiere.

Calling hours will be from 6 to 9 p.m. on Monday, June 4, 2012, and on Tuesday June 5, 2012 from 11 to 1 p.m. in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 E. State St., Sharon.

Mass of Christian burial will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 6, 2012, in Sacred Heart Church, Sharon, with the Rev. Henry Andrae, pastor, as celebrant. Everyone is asked to go directly to church.

Entombment will be in St. Rose Cemetery.
