Marica Zidak, 73, of Hermitage, passed away Thursday morning, April 4, 2024, in UPMC Jameson Hospital, New Castle.
Mrs. Zidak was born on August 6, 1950, in Voloder, Croatia, a daughter of Josip and Barica (Kotarski) Bokun. Raised and educated in Croatia, she earned an associate degree and worked for Nikola Tesla Engineering.
Her husband, Vlado Zidak, whom she married on May 1, 1971, survives at home. In 1975, Marica moved to the United States reuniting with her husband who immigrated in 1973. While living in the Shenango Valley, she was employed by Joy Cone Co., working as a cone packer and in the jacket room.
Marica was a member of St. Anthony's Church, Sharon.
She enjoyed listening to music, sewing and preparing traditional Croatian meals. Above all, Marica loved watching and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by a son, Johnny Zidak, of Hermitage; and two granddaughters, Olivia Zidak, and Delaney Ser and her husband Jordan Templeton.
In addition to her parents, Marica was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Josip and Katarina Bokun; her maternal grandparents, Bartol and Marija Kotarski; and a brother, VjekaSlav "Slavic" Bokun.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday (04/10/2024) in St. Anthony's Church, 804 Idaho St., Sharon, with Rev. Stanley Swacha, as celebrant.
Interment: Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Hermitage.
