Marian V. Sizer, 83, a longtime resident of of Edinburg, passed away peacefully Monday morning, December 24, 2018, in Haven Convalescent Home, New Castle.

Mrs. Sizer was born December 2, 1935, in New Castle, a daughter of the late Joseph F. and Marian E. (Kenst) Orres. After attending Union High School, she enrolled in courses at the former New Castle Business School, and later completed her associate's degree at Brevard Community College in Melbourne, FL.

Marian retired in 2009 from Lark Enterprises, Inc., of New Castle, where she worked as a supervisor for 16 years. She was previously employed by the Harris Corporation, of Melbourne, FL, where she worked in the accounting department for 17 years.

Marian was a member of St. Mary Church – Mary, Mother of Hope Parish, New Castle.

She enjoyed crafting, particularly crocheting, cross stitching and knitting. Marian also liked going bowling, playing bingo, and spending time at Challenges – Options in Aging. Most of all, she loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by four daughters, Belinda J. Warner, of Zelienople, PA, Cynthia K. (Robert) Bell, of Pulaski, Rachelle A. McEwen, of Goodyear, AZ, and Stacey L. (Perry) Biondi, of New Castle; a son, Joseph K. (Tracey) Sizer, of Ediburg; a brother, Joseph "Ron" (Roberta) Orres, of Mercer, PA; 11 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Marian was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley (Gene) Hannon. Memorial contributions may be directed towards Grane Hospice, 260 Alpha Dr, Pittsburgh, PA 15238; or Challenges – Options in Aging, 2706 Mercer Rd, New Castle, PA 16105.

Friends and family will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday (12-28-18) in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 111 W. Falls St., New Castle.

Memorial Mass will be 10 a.m. Monday (12-31-18) in St. Mary Church, 124 N. Beaver St., New Castle, with Rev. Victor J. Molka, Jr., as celebrant.

Interment: St. Mary Cemetery, New Castle.
