Marian E. Bresnahan, 96, a lifelong resident of Sharpsville passed away Thursday, May 15, 2025, in Clepper Manor, Sharon.

Mrs. Bresnahan was born August 30, 1928, in Sharon, a daughter of the late Richard and Lillian (Wilson) Welch. She graduated from Sharpsville High School in 1947.

A homemaker, Marian worked at McDowell Bank in Sharon for nine years prior to the birth of her children.

A devout Catholic, Marian was a lifelong member of St. Bartholomew Church in Sharpsville.

Her husband of 59 years, William G. Bresnahan, whom she married October 6, 1956, preceded her in death November 13, 2015.

Marian is survived by three children, David Bresnahan (Lynne), Transfer, PA, MaryAnn Caldwell, Crestview, FL, and Timothy Bresnahan, Hermitage; a sister, Margaret Welch, with whom she made her home in Sharpsville; seven grandchildren, Jason, Justin and Shawn (Erin) Bresnahan, Lauren Caldwell, Matthew and Steven Bresnahan and Andrew (Leslie) Martin; and three great-grandchildren, Jasmine and Jennifer Vamosi and Ryan Bresnahan.

In addition to her husband and parents, Marian was preceded in death by a grandson, Phillip Caldwell, Jr.; two brothers, Edward and Thomas Welch; and one of her triplet sisters, Mary Ellen Welch.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday (5-21-25) in St. Rose Cemetery Chapel, 717 Dutch Lane, Hermitage.

Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow at 11 a.m., in the chapel, with Rev. John Miller, as celebrant.

Interment: St. Rose Cemetery, Hermitage.
