Obituary

Marguerite A. Feigert, of Hermitage, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday morning, October 3, 2018, in O'Brien Memorial Nursing Home, Masury.  She was 93.

Mrs. Feigert was born November 3, 1924, in Titusville, Pa., a daughter of the late Howard and Helen (Dunn) Madden.  She moved to Sharon as a teenager and was a 1942 alumna of Sharon High School.  Marguerite was employed as a secretary at the former Sharon Store warehouse in Downtown Sharon and later worked as the manager of the customer relations department for Strauss' in Youngstown, Ohio.  She retired after more than twenty five years of service.

A homemaker, she was a charter member of the Church of Notre Dame, Hermitage, where she was a second grade Confraternity of Christian Doctrine (CCD) instructor for several years.  Marguerite was an accomplished artist, particularly portrait paintings, and won several 1
st place and Best of Show awards.  She was an active participant at the Mercer County Senior Center in Hermitage where she enjoyed entering many of her paintings and also created the artwork for the cover of her son's (Don) book.  Marguerite was the matriarch of her family and loved hosting parties at her home during the holidays, particularly Christmas.

Her husband of 53 years, Earl L. Feigert, Sr., whom she married August 20, 1945, passed away March 22, 1999.

Surviving are: two sons, Earl L. "Skip" Feigert, Jr. and his wife Rebecca, of Hermitage; and Donald F. Feigert and his fiancée Donna Rae Rutan, of Sharon; two daughters, Beverly Tasker and her husband Larry, of Carolina Shores, NC; and Mary Lou Jones and her husband Bob, of Chandler, AZ; ten grandchildren, Tom Feigert, Stephen Feigert and his wife Melissa; John Dougherty, Randy Feigert and his wife Dawn; Dustin Keck and his wife Regan; Jeremy Keck, Brandy Lea Keck, William Feigert, Jr., Amy Jones and Kimberly Jones; and 9 great grandchildren, Lucas, Silas, Alexis, Lyndsay, Madison, Kori, Zachary, Holden and Blakely.  She also leaves a daughter-in-law, Sandy Feigert, of Ligonier, Pa.; a sister-in-law, Lillian Madden, of Brookfield, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and husband, Marguerite was preceded in death by a son, William Feigert; and a brother, Howard "Bud" Madden.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Church of Notre Dame, 2325 Highland Rd., Hermitage, Pa. 16148.

Calling hours will be from 10 a.m. until noon on Saturday, October 6, 2018, in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 E. State St., Sharon.

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, October 6, 2018, in the Church of Notre Dame, Hermitage, with Very Rev. Richard J. Allen, E.V., pastor, as celebrant.
