Margaret "Marge" Ann Yuran of Hermitage passed away at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 31, 2017, in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System, after a brief illness. She was 89.
Mrs. Yuran was born March 17, 1928, in Sharon, a daughter of Joseph and Mary (Gensko) Voyda. She was a lifelong area resident and attended Hickory schools.
Marge was a homemaker and an active member of the former Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, Farrell. She loved Croatian music and was a member of the Croatian Club, Lodge 126, Farrell. Marge also enjoyed dancing, playing cards, puzzles, Walker Texas Ranger starring Chuck Norris, feeding the birds and any other animals in her yard, cooking and baking and the NFL, particularly the Steelers. Her husband, Stanley Frank Yuran, whom she married June 8, 1947, passed away July 28, 2003.
Surviving is a daughter, Catherine "Cathy" M. Meser, Langhorne, PA and her boyfriend, Howard Bolton, Ben Salem, PA; three sons, Joseph J. Yuran, Stanley P. "Butch" Yuran and Frank E. Yuran, all of Hermitage; six grandchildren, Michael Meser, Matthew Meser and his wife Sheena, Joseph Yuran and his wife Deborah, Raymond Yuran and his wife Dawn, Eric Yuran and Andrea Yuran; and nine great grandchildren, Justin Yuran and his wife Corissa. MacKenzie Yuran, Max Yuran, Hunter Meser, Gracelyn Meser, Rowynne Meser, Zinnia Meser, Juliette Meser and Gianna Meser.
Besides her husband, Marge was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Robert Yuran who died in infancy and Steven M. Yuran; a granddaughter, Leah Yuran; two sisters, Irene Keating and Marie Pinion; and three brothers, Frank, George and Michael Voyda.
Because Marge was an animal lover, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to a local animal advocacy organization; or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
