Obituary

Margaret "Helen" Wareham, 90, of Sharon passed away peacefully Saturday evening, July 28, 2018, at her residence.

Mrs. Wareham was born November 5, 1927, in Sharpsville, a daughter of the late Ernest and Molly (Damron) Roberts. She is a lifelong area resident and 1945 graduate of Sharpsville High School.

Helen was a devout catholic who's extraordinarily strong faith helped her to raise 13 children. She was a   longtime member of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, and a former member of St. Joseph Church, both in Sharon. Her faith sustained her through the many ups and downs in her life. Saying the Rosary daily gave her much strength, and attending Mass renewed her spirit.

Helen had many talents, which included baking wonderful pies and cakes, and always remembering each of her children's favorite desserts on their birthday. She was a woman that could fix anything from broken toys to broken appliances.

Helen enjoyed planting tulips in her garden during spring, as well as maintaining many indoor plants. She loved the big lilac bush in the backyard and always hung beautiful hanging baskets on the big front porch.

Helen belong to several card clubs throughout the years and playing cards was her favorite form of entertainment, particularly Hearts and Euchre. She was the best Euchre partner ever.

Helen was a strong, hardworking and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her devotion to husband and family was always top priority.

Her husband of 71 years, John A. Wareham, whom she married April 5, 1947, survives at home.

Also surviving are: 11 children, John (Cheryl) Wareham, Brockton, MA; Cheryl (Daniel) Caszatt, Hermitage; Timothy (Kathy) Wareham, Tuckahoe, NY; Thomas (Kristi) Wareham, Rowlett, TX; Keith (Dee) Wareham, Sharon; Daniel Wareham, Dallas, TX; Terry Wareham, Sharon; Steven (Elizabeth) Wareham, Sharon; Kathy (Jeff) Przcina, Clark; Edwin Wareham, Hartford, OH; and Dianne Head, Hubbardsville, NY; a brother, James Roberts, Sharpsville; 29 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by a daughter, Cynthia DiCla udio; a son, Jeffrey Wareham; four sisters, Judy, Donna, Carol and Fay; a brother, Ernest "Junior" Roberts, Jr.; and a great great grandchild.

Mass of Christian Burial will be noon Friday, in the church, with Rev. Matthew Ruyechan, pastor, as celebrant.

Interment: St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Hermitage.
