Obituary

Margaret B. Stefanish, Clepper Manor, Sharon, formerly of Hermitage, passed away peacefully at 2:25 p.m. Thursday (6-21-12) in the manor of natural causes. She was 95.
A lifelong area resident, she was born December 6, 1916 in Farrell to John and Mary Mayernik Suchy and she graduated from the former St. Ann's School.
Margaret worked for 15 years as a sales clerk at the former Mason's Department Store in the Hickory Plaza and retired in 1980 at the stores closing.
She was a homemaker and lifelong member of what is now know as Our Lady of Fatima-St. Ann's Church and in her early years she was a member of St. Ann's Alter Society. She also belonged to the Ladies JEDNOTA #153, and AARP.
Her husband Stephen E. Stefanish whom she married on August 31, 1940, passed away on December 24, 1993.
She leaves her three sons, Adrian F. Stefanish and his wife Joanne, Carrolton, Ohio, Dennis J. Stefanish and his wife Mary Rose, Sharpsville, and Thomas A. Stefanish and his wife Linda, Hermitage. She also leaves her four grandchildren, Brian and Scott Stefanish, Erin Bormuth, and Leigh Moore, and two great grandchildren, Adam and Elizabeth, Bormuth.
In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her son Timothy Stefanish, two sisters, Anna Dancak and Mary Pacsi, and three brothers, Albert, Frank, and John Suchy.
Calling hours: 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday (6-24-11) in the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. 1090 E. State St. Sharon. A rosary will be recited at 5:45 p.m. in the funeral home. Services: Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday (6-25-12) at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Fatima-St. Ann's Church 601 Roemer Blvd. Farrell, with Rev. Donald E. Berdis, pastor as the celebrant. Prayers will begin at 9:45 a.m. Monday morning in the funeral home prior to leaving for the church.
Interment: With her husband in St. Ann's Cemetery, Hermitage.
