Margaret J. Smith, 87, of Mercer, formerly of Sharon, passed away at 1:26 p.m. Thursday, September 6, 2018, in Avalon Springs Place, Mercer.

Mrs. Smith was born April 9, 1931, in Altoona, PA, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James McNally. She was a graduate of Altoona Area High School.

Margaret was of the Methodist faith. A homemaker, she enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and spoiling her grandchildren.

Her husband, Harry Albert Smith, Sr., passed away July 10, 2002.

She is survived by three daughters, Tawny Smith, Greenville; Michelle Rogan and her husband Terry, Spartansburg, PA; and Sue Ellen Fellnor, Ohio; two sons, Richard Nale, Australia; and Harry Smith, Jr., Farrell; 25 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Danny Nale; a son-in-law, Frank Smith; three sisters, Pauline, Maggie and Cork; and three brothers, Jim Smith and two brothers in infancy.
