Margaret McFadden McCormick of Rehoboth Beach, DE, formerly of Washington, DC and Sharon, PA, passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2016, in Christiana Hospital, Wilmington, DE. She was 75.

Margaret was born September 8, 1941 in Sharon, PA, a daughter of George L. McFadden and Jane Frances (Byrne) McFadden. She was raised and educated in Sharon.

Margaret was a 1959 graduate of Sharon High School.

In 1964 she moved to the Washington, DC area where Margaret was employed in defense contracting until her retirement in 2006 as a facilities manager for Boeing.

Margaret was a hard working mother, who always put her family first.

Besides being very close to her large extended family she also enjoyed crossword puzzles and Maker's Mark Manhattans.

Surviving are: her two sons, Michael McCormick and his husband Daniel Lusk, Alexandria, VA; and Sean McCormick and his wife Ellen, Colorado Springs, CO; two grandchildren, Caitlin and Austin McCormick; a brother, Dr. Bernard "Barney' Mcfadden and his wife Georgia, Keystone Heights, FL; three sister in laws, Floretta McFadden, Edgewater, MD; Eliza Jane McFadden, Fitchburg, MA; and Judy McFadden, Houston, TX.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Mary Frances DeJohn; and Anne Lumpp; five brothers, Maj. Gen. George L. McFadden Jr.; Edward McFadden; John McFadden, Joseph McFadden; and Eugene McFadden.

Calling hours are from 5 to 7 p.m. , Tuesday, January 3, 2017 in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 East State St., Sharon, PA 16146.

Memorial Mass will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 in St. Joseph Church, 79 Case Ave., Sharon, PA, with Rev. Thomas Whitman, pastor, as celebrant.

Burial will follow at St. Rose Cemetery, Hermitage.
