Margaret 'Marge' L. Magee, 2638 Lake Road, Clark, passed away at 2:15 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 3, 2011 in UPMC Horizon, Farrell, following a brief illness. She was 83.

Mrs. Magee was born May 1, 1928 in Wheatland, Pa., to Joseph and Teresa Grace Takach Hassan. A life long area resident she was a 1946 graduate of Farrell High School.

She was a member of the former Grace Lutheran Church, Farrell where she was a Sunday school teacher.

Marge retired from the former Mason's Department Store, Hermitage where she worked as a sales associate for 10 years. She was previously a buyer and sales associate at the former Sharon Store, Sharon and earlier in her life she worked at the Packard Electric Company, Warren, Ohio.

Marge was a kind and thoughtful woman who was willing to help anyone in need. She was also passionate about helping animals, particularly stray cats whom she adopted and cared for.

She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Earl F. Magee, whom she married July 23, 1955 in Cumberland, Maryland. Also surviving is her brother, Karl Hassan, Hermitage, her niece, Patricia Bittler, Lackawannock Twp., and five great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Marge was preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy Hassan and Mitzie Hnat, and a brother Joseph F. Hassan.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Stefanick Veterinary Hospital, 129 S. Buhl Farm Drive, Hermitage, PA 16148.
