Obituary
Margaret "Marge" M. Jones, a longtime resident of Wheatland, passed away at
6:15 p.m.
Sunday
(1-31-16) in Clepper Manor, Sharon, after an extended illness. She was 88.
Mrs. Jones was born Feb. 15, 1927, in Sharon, a daughter of George and Mary Wanchisn Tarbay.
She was a graduate of Brookfield High School.
On May 10, 1947, she married Melvin Thomas Jones and moved to Wheatland where they raised their family. Mr. Jones died after nearly 40 years of marriage.
Marge was a homemaker and a member of Our Lady of Fatima-St. Ann Church, Farrell. She enjoyed baking and was well known for her delicious homemade bread.
Surviving are: two sons, Timmy Jones and Thomas Jones and his wife Karen, Sharpsville; two daughters, Cindy Miller and her husband Larry, Mercer; and Kathy Mack and her husband Butch, West Middlesex; four grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren. Timmy resides in Mercer with Cindy and Larry.
Besides her husband, Marge was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Ann Popik; and a granddaughter, Melissa Miller.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Our Lady of Fatima-St. Ann Church, 600 Roemer Blvd., Farrell, PA 16121; or to the Humane Society of Mercer County, P.O. Box 1046, Hermitage, PA 6148.
Calling hour will be from noon until the time of service on Wednesday ( 2-3-16 ) in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 E. State St., Sharon.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home with the Rev. Donald E. Berdis, pastor of Our Lady of Fatima-St. Ann Church, Farrell, officiating.
Interment: St. Rose Cemetery, Hermitage.
