Margaret L. "Peg" Lynch, formerly of Sharpsville, departed this life at 5:02 p.m. Sunday, September 6, 2015, in Clepper Manor, Sharon, after an extended illness. She was 96. Mrs. Lynch was born August 14, 1919, in Sharon, a daughter of Arthur Raymond and Gertrude Viola Melat Collins. She was a lifelong area resident and a 1937 graduate of Sharon High School where she excelled in business courses. Always proficient in shorthand, spelling and typing, Peg retired from Sharon Steel Corporation's former Farrell plant where she worked in the pension department for 30 years. During her retirement, she worked for several years at the Mercer County Public Assistance office in Hermitage. She was of the Protestant Faith and a former member of East Side Church, Sharon. Peg had a passion for writing and left behind a collection of short stories for her family to cherish. She enjoyed swimming, bowling, playing cards, reading, traveling, crossword puzzles and walking in Buhl Park. She also loved shopping with her daughter, Karen, and family gatherings. Peg was a volunteer for Sharon Regional Hospice and Meals on Wheels and was a member and past secretary of the Mercer County Chapter of AARP. Always a very proud and elegant lady, she will be sadly missed by her loving family. She is survived by: a daughter, Karen Lisac Draskovic and her husband Frank, West Middlesex; three grandchildren, N. Christopher Lisac and his wife Louise Lowrey Lisac, Roaming Shores, Ohio; Lori A. Grace and her husband Kevin, Hermitage; and Renee L. Sarisky and her husband William "Billy", Girard, Oh; three great grandchildren, Nickolas Grace; and Addison and Tyler Sarisky; and several nieces and nephews. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Doris King; three brothers, Clifford, Kenneth and Paul Collins; and a son-in-law, Nickolas G. Lisac, Jr. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Buhl Park, 715 Hazen Rd., Hermitage, PA 16148. Calling hours: There are no calling hours.
