Margaret Emma Kephart, formerly of Fourth Avenue, Sharon, passed away at 9:25 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, 2012, in Orange Village Care Center, Masury. She was 85.

Mrs. Kephart was born May 10, 1926, in Indiana, Pa., a daughter of William Franklin and Zaida Evelyn Risinger Reed.

She was educated in Indiana and moved to the area in 1949. Margaret was a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting.

Her husband, Harry Eugene Kephart, whom she married June 9, 1948, passed away June 16, 1985.

Surviving are: two daughters, Alice M. Kephart, New Wilmington; and Sandra L. Zortman, Clearfield, Pa.; two sisters, Shirley Griffith and her husband Edward, Carlisle, Pa.; and Ruth Ann Good, Kittanning, Pa.; a brother, Donald Reed and his wife Hazel, Sharon; five grandchildren, Ann Marie Beedy and husband Todd; Mary Kay Thompson and husband Chris; Johnny W. Smith; Helen Marie Glass; and Wayne Lee Huffman, Jr.; and twelve great-grandchildren, including Hope Marie and Faith Marie Beedy.

Beside her parents and husband, Margaret was preceded in death by three sisters, LaRue Beat, Helen Alexander and Dorothy Reed, who died in infancy; and a brother, William F. Reed, who also died in infancy.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the family.
