Margaret 'Peg' L. Bonadio, Mercy Terrace, Erie, PA; formerly of 1908 Shady Dr., Farrell, PA passed away at 9:25 a.m. Friday (6-25-10) in St. Vincent Hospital, Erie, PA. She was 85.

Mrs. Bonadio was born August 27, 1924 in Farrell a daughter of the late Samuel and Margaret E. McCluskey Leyshock.

She was a 1942 alumna of Farrell High School and a 1946 graduate of the former St. Francis School of Nursing, New Castle, PA.

Peg was employed as an RN at Sharon Regional Health System for 39 years where she worked in utilization review and served as head nurse from 1975-1987.

A lifelong area resident, she was an active member of Our Lady of Fatima-St. Ann's Church, Farrell; and a former member of the church Bethany Club. Peg was a member of the Sharon Regional Health Systems Retired Nurses Association and Auxiliary; the Kiwanianne's Club of Farrell; the Class of '42 Girl's Luncheon Group; and the Farrell High School Alumni Association.

Her husband, Felix 'Blues' A. Bonadio, whom she married June 14, 1947, passed away November 6, 2006.

Surviving are: a daughter, Bonita Staszak and her husband John; a son, Robert R. Bonadio and his wife Gretchen, all Erie, PA; four grandchildren, John Staszak; and Sarah Beth, Ryan and Sammy Bonadio; and two great grandsons, Adam and Ethan Staszak.

Besides her parents and husband, Peg was preceded in death by three brothers, Raymond, Peter and Samuel Leyshock.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Mercy Terrace, 430 E. Grandview Blvd., Erie, PA 16504-6791.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday (6-30-10) in Our Lady of Fatima-St. Ann's Church, Farrell, with the Rev. Donald E. Berdis, pastor, as celebrant.
