Marcy A. DeCarmen, of Farrell, passed away at
11:48 p.m.
Tuesday, September 27, 2016, in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System, after a brief illness. She was 85.
Mrs. DeCarmen was born September 8, 1931, in Farrell, a daughter of Frank E. Chess, Sr. and Jennie (Rotell) Chess. She was a lifelong Farrell resident and a 1949 alumna of Farrell High School.
A homemaker, Marcy was a life member of Our Lady of Fatima-St. Ann Church, Farrell.
She was a former member of the VFW Auxiliary, Post 5286; the American Legion, Post 160; and the Italian Home, all Farrell, where she enjoyed socializing and playing bocce.
Her husband, Joseph J. DeCarmen, passed away in 1997.
Surviving are: a loving daughter, Jennifer Chess and her husband Donald S. Bachouros, Westlake, Ohio, and their children whom Marcy adored, twins, Merrill Bachouros, Atlanta, GA and Lee Bachouros, New York, NY; and Halle Bachouros, a student at Indiana University, Bloomington, IN; a brother, Frank E. Chess, Jr. and his wife Betty, Hermitage; a niece and Goddaughter, Amy Krysiek and her husband David and their family, Atlanta, GA; and a nephew, Ed Chess and his wife Cindy and their family, Hermitage. She also leaves her husband's children, Christina Grove, her husband Chuck and their son, Aaron, of California; and Larry DeCarmen and his wife Cindy, Farrell, and their children, Tara, Lindsay and Josh.
Besides her husband, Marcy was preceded in death by her parents; and a nephew, Frank E. Chess, III.

Saturday, October 1, 2016, in Our Lady of Fatima-St. Ann Church, 601 Roemer Blvd., Farrell, with the Rev. Donald E. Berdis, pastor, as celebrant. Everyone is asked to go directly to the church.
Interment: St. Anthony's Cemetery, Hermitage.
