Mae C. "Mickey" Rossi of Sharon passed away at 8:32 p.m. Saturday, February 3, 2018, in St. John XXIII Home, Hermitage.
She was 95.
Mrs. Rossi was born August 13, 1922, in Greenville, Pa., a daughter of the late Mario and Frances (D'Urso) Cernuto.
She was a lifelong area resident and a 1940 graduate of St. Michael's School in Greenville.
In addition to being a homemaker and raising three boys, Mae worked in a machine shop during World War II, managed a small grocery store in the 1950's and started, along with her husband, Rossi Candy Service in the 1960's.
She was also a great Italian cook whose homemade pizza, pasta and wedding soup were legendary.
Mrs. Rossi was also an active member of St. Joseph Church, Sharon, where she belonged to its Ladies Guild.
Her husband, Carmen R. Rossi, whom she married August 29, 1942, passed away May 20, 2013.
Surviving are: two sons, James (Jeanne) Rossi, Solon, Ohio; and John (Cheryl) Rossi, Wheaton, IL; a daughter-in-law, Diane Skipper Rossi, Mentor, OH; five grandchildren, Kyle (Jennifer) Rossi, Kent (Melissa) Rossi, Jason (Margret) Rossi, Kevin Rossi and Ryan (Kelly) Rossi; three great grandchildren, Jaxon, Kotalynn and Matthew; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband, Mickey was preceded in death by a son, Michael Rossi; and three sisters, Carmela Cernuto, Norma Cernuto and Pauline Bullano.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Joseph Church,

Mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday, February 10, 2018, in St. Joseph Church, Sharon, with Rev. Thomas Whitman, pastor, as celebrant.
Entombment: St. Rose Cemetery mausoleum, Hermitage.
