Obituary

M Judith "Judy" Musial, 72, of Sharpsville passed away Friday morning, September 29, 2023, in St. John XXIII Home.

Ms. Musial was born February 5, 1951, in Sharon, a daughter of the late Charles and Laura (Michnowski) Musial.  A graduate of Sharon High School Class of 1969, she went on to earn a Bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of Pittsburgh and a Master of Science degree in nursing from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Born prematurely, Judy was inspired to focus her career on neonatal care.  She spent many years working for the renowned University of Cincinnati Children's Medical Center where she was the regional care coordinator.  Judy truly loved caring for infants and teaching other medical professionals.

Judy was a devoted and active member of St. Joseph's Church, Sharon, where she sang in the choir for many years.  A talented singer, she was also a member of the Shenango Valley Chorale.

She loved animals and had many pet dachshunds throughout her life, as well as her beloved cat.  Her pets always took to her so quickly because of her kind and gentle spirit.

"Aunt Judy" was known for doting on her five nieces and nephews, her twelve grand-nieces and grand-nephews, as well as the children of her close friends.  She always had the perfect gift for every child at Christmas or on their birthday, and offered the best snacks at her house.

Judy is survived by a sister, Carolyn Dugan (Charles), Hermitage; two nieces, Laurie Joanow (Michael), Hermitage, and Amy Zier (Jonathan), Beaver, PA; three nephews, Michael Dugan (Tiffany), Steubenville, OH, Daniel Dugan (Jessica), Minneapolis, MN, and Charles Dugan, Jr. (Amanda), Sharpsville; beloved grand nieces and nephews,  Anthony (Autumn), Lynn, Sophia, Stephen (Ryan), Nickolas, Angelique, Emma, Henry Jay, Jonathan Jr., Joseph, Fred and Rafe; many dear friends; and last but not least, her beloved cat, Lulu.

Memorial donations may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or online at: www.stjude.org.  Judy and her mother were both lifelong supporters of St. Jude's and felt a deep connection to their mission.
