Lynn L. Lysohir, 1876 Woodside Drive, Hermitage, passed away Wednesday morning (3/23/11) at his residence. He was 56.
Lynn was born March 24, 1954 in Sharon the son of Mike and Helen Wasnak Lysohir. He graduated from Hickory High School in 1972 where he was a standout football player and co-captain of the varsity football team. He attended the Gemological Institute of America, Los Angeles, California from which he graduated in 1979. A certified gemologist and goldsmith, he and his family have owned and operated L & C Jewelers, Inc. in Hermitage for many years.
Lynn was of the Orthodox faith and was very proud of his Ukrainian heritage. One of the special times in his life was when he and his brother Michael visited Russia.
He is survived by his daughter Evelyn 'Evie' M. Lysohir, Hermitage, who was the apple of her father's eye. His life was devoted to her and the two enjoyed horseback riding together. He also enjoyed bicycling and boating.
Lynn is also survived by his twin sister, Linda Carine and her husband Jeffrey and their daughters, Amanda and Ann, Hermitage, and his former wife, Deborah Amsdell, Hermitage.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother Michael Lysohir.
Lynn was a fun loving, happy-go-lucky person and he will be remembered for his big heart.
Memorial contributions may be made for the education of his daughter through the funeral home or to the charity of the donor's choice.
