Lucy Larocca, 99, of Greenville, formerly of Hermitage, passed away at 2:42 p.m. Thursday, June 21, 2018, in UPMC Horizon, Greenville.
Mrs. Larocca was born August 27, 1918, in Carrollton, NY, a daughter of Joseph and Philomena (Guidicianni) Caruso. She was a 1937 graduate of Salamanca (NY) High School and studied at the Westbrook Business Academy in Olean, N.Y.
Lucy was employed for five years at the former Davis Auto Sales, Brookfield, OH, and was an office manager at Bill McCandless Ford, Mercer, for 18 years before retiring in July of 1981.
She was a longtime member of the Church of Notre Dame, Hermitage.
Lucy was also a member of the Buhl Club and belonged to several bridge clubs throughout the years. She also enjoyed reading and volunteering in the Shenango Valley.
Her husband, Leonard Larocca, whom she married on June 15, 1940, passed away August 22, 2006.
Lucy is survived by: two sons, James Larocca, Mercer; and William Larocca and his wife Nancy, Indian Land, S.C.; two granddaughters, Michelle (Paris) Krouse; and Danielle (Anthony) Ross; and two great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Lucy was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Helen Fraser; three brothers, Joseph, Alfred and James Caruso, who died in infancy; and a daughter-in-law, Regina Larocca.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Paul's Home, 339 East Jamestown Rd., Greenville, PA 16125; or to a charity of the donor's choice.
Calling hour will be 10 a.m. until the time of the mass Monday, in the Church of Notre Dame, 2325 Highland Rd., Hermitage. Arrangements by J. Mass of Christian burial will be 11 a.m. Monday, in the church, with the Very Rev. Richard Allen, E.V., pastor, as celebrant.
