Lucy Babinka, formerly of Hann Hill Road, Hermitage; South Bend Road, Jefferson Township; and North Cottage Road, Mercer, passed away at 5:43 p.m. Wednesday (6-3-15) in the Villa's at St. Paul's, West Salem Township. She was 92. Mrs. Babinka was born Dec. 27, 1922, in Sharon, a daughter of Theodore F. and Margaret (Palmer) Kadary. She was a 1941 alumna of Sharon High School and after her graduation was employed at the former ordnance plant in Farrell. A homemaker, Lucy was an active member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Hermitage, where she was a member of the Altar Guild and the Dorcas Society. She enjoyed gardening, embroidery, reading, traveling, making crafts with her daughter and spending time with family and grandchildren. Her husband, Paul Babinka, whom she married Oct. 26, 1945, passed away Nov. 21, 2003. Lucy also was preceded in death by a brother, Theodore M. Kadary; and a son-in-law, David Braho. Surviving are four daughters, Sherry Lynn Braho, Sharpsville; Kathy Ann Beckstein and her husband Larry, Greenville; Peggy Ann Steele and her husband Tim, Mercer; and Debbie Ann Graves and her husband Steve, Bloomsburg, Pa; two sons, Theodore Michael Babinka and his wife Donna, Mercer; and Donald Paul Babinka and his wife Deborah Jean, Cochranton; and 13 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
