IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lucille L.
Shaffer
February 27, 1954 – June 29, 2025
Lucille L. Shaffer, 71, of Pymatuning Twp., passed away Sunday morning, June 29, 2025, in her home.
Mrs. Shaffer was born on February 27, 1954, in Sharon, a daughter of the late Walter and Evelyn (Buchanan) Gelesky, and attended West Middlesex High School.
A dedicated homemaker, Lucille found great pleasure in crafting. She particularly liked crocheting and making wreaths, which she sold at local craft shows and shops. Above all, she loved cooking, visiting with family and friends, and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Harlan Shaffer, Jr., whom she married on August 29, 1970; a son, Harlan Shaffer, III, both of Pymatuning Twp.; four grandchildren, Dylan and Wyatt Kubyako, Harlan Shaffer IV, and Noah Kubyako; and a great-grandson, Nolan Kubyako. Also surviving are three sisters, Violet Greenawalt, Margie Dillon, all of West Middlesex, and Barbie Hibbard, of Mercer; and a brother, Larry Gelesky, of Arkansas.
In addition to her parents, Lucille was preceded in death by a daughter, Dawn Marie Kubyako; two sisters, Helen Boles-Camp and Alice Cripps; and three brothers, Walter, Steven and Andrew Gelesky.
The family suggests memorial contributions be directed to the Good Shepherd Center, 10 N. Water St., Greenville, PA 16125.
In keeping with Lucille's wishes, there are no services.
