Lucille M. Guerino, 349 Patt Drive, Farrell, passed away early Friday morning (9- 4-09) in her home with her family by her side, following a brief illness. She was 94.
Mrs. Guerino was born Sept. 7, 1914, in Farrell, a daughter of the late Ralph and Mary D'Lea Palmer. She was educated in Michigan and moved back to the Shenango Valley following her graduation from high school.
A homemaker, she was a long-time member of Our Lady of Fatima-St. Ann's Church, Farrell.
Mrs. Guerino enjoyed tending her flower gardens and yard.
Her family was the most important aspect of her life and she loved spending time with and caring for each one of them.
Her husband, Eugene Patsy Guerino, whom she married Nov. 11, 1939, passed away March 15, 1993.
Surviving her are: two sons, James S. Guerino and his wife Lorraine, and Eugene P. 'Buddy' Guerino Jr. and his wife Rhonda, all Farrell; a daughter, Patricia Hoffman and her husband David, Hermitage; 13 grandchildren, Dina Lynn Robinson, whom cared for and who lived with her grandmother; Patricia Watts, Pittsburgh; Tracy Frye, Liberty Township, Trumbull County; Donny Hoffman, Ala.; Kristi Mentzer, Sharpsville; Allyson Knott, Wrightstown, N.J.; Katie Thompson, Pittsburgh; Gianna, Jason, Justin, Jordan and Jon-Michael Guerino, all Farrell; and Julia Guerino Scaries, Pittsburgh; 18 greatgrandchildren, Tay Anthony Robinson and Trey Eugene Robinson; Cody and Cassidy Frye; Jessica Watts, Alex Martz, Rowan Mentzer, Reagan and Avery Thompson; Jamison Guerino; Mason, Abigail and Chelsea Knott; Kaylee Sides; and Harley, Brooke, Avery and Merryn Hoffman. She also leaves behind a brother and sister-in-law, Gus and Tiki Guerino, Farrell, and her best friends of more than 50 years, Sophie!
and Nick Kucik, Farrell.
Besides her parents and husband, Lucille was preceded in death by five sisters; three brothers; a daughter, Jeanie Guerino Whitacre; and a grandson, David Lee Hoffman.

Kevin M. Guinaugh, 85, of Union Township passed away peacefully surrounded by family on July 1, 2009, at the home of his daughter.
Born on Jan. 17, 1924, in New Castle, he was a son of Arthur and Mary Devlin Guinaugh.
At age 19, he proudly served in the Army during World War II. He entered the Army on May 7, 1943, and was honorably discharged on Nov. 10, 1945. Kevin served in the European Theaters of Normandy, northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes and central Europe. He was awarded the Bronze Star medal for her heroic duty above and beyond the call of duty in the Battle of the Bulge, the Good Conduct Medal European African Middle Eastern service medal with six gold stars.
After returning from the war, he graduated from Penn State Extension.He married his West Side sweetheart, Margaret "Peggy" Murphy.
He worked at the former Johnson Bronze Co. and later Mesta Machine Co. from which he retired.He loved serving the community of Union Township, where he lived for 55 years. He served as a Union Township supervisor for 18 years after retiring and was also the roadmaster for the township.
Kevin was involved in many organizations including New Castle Transit Authority, New Castle Airport Authority, Elks Club, K Pulaski Club, VFW and American Legion Post 343.He was a dedicated member of St. Mary Church of Mary Mother of Hope Parish.Kevin enjoyed sports, playing when he was younger and later coaching St. Mary's CYO basketball teams and his son's Little League and suburban league baseball teams. He followed Union High School athletics.He was an avid golfer who played in many leagues and had a hole-in-one at Mohawk Trails in 1984.He enjoyed talking politics with his daughter, Marcie and brother, Jimmy and talking sports with his sister, JoAnne.Most of all Kevin enjoyed spending time with his family and trips to Colorado to visit his children and friends.
He is survived by a daughter, Marcie and Dan Hannon of New Castle; a son, Kevin and Kim Guinaugh of Colorado Springs, Colo.; four grandchildren, Chrisha Jordan-Espinosa of Colorado Springs, Daniel Hannon of New Cumberland, W.Va., and Bryan and Megan Guinaugh of Colorado Springs; three great-grandchildren, Caleb, Rudy and Nina Espinosa; one sister, Joanne Daly of New Castle; and a brother, Edward Guinaugh of New Castle.
He was preceded in death by his wife; an infant son, John; four sisters, Catherine, Mercedes, Dorothy and Lucille; and four brothers, Francis, Arthur, James and John Guinaugh.
Calling hours will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, 111 W. Falls St.
A procession will leave the funeral home at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday for St. Mary Church where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Kevin's name to Jameson Hospice of Lawrence County for the care and compassion shown to Kevin and the family during his illness at 1005 S. Mercer St., New Castle, Pa. 16101.
