Lucille Lehotine Dudoic, formerly of Neshannock Avenue Extension, passed away peacefully at 2:30 a.m. June 26, 2011, in Duff's Personal Care Home. She was 97.
She was born Oct. 27, 1913, in New Castle, the daughter of Christian Schwartz and Elizabeth Miller Schwartz Lynch.
A lifelong area resident, she graduated from Shenango High School.
Mrs. Dudoic was a homemaker and in her early years worked as a domestic housekeeper for several prominent local families
She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church.
Lucille was a former member of the United Christian Ladies Class and the former Ann Judson Society.
Her husband, Zigmont Dudoic, whom she married Jan. 13, 1943, passed away March 27, 1989.
She leaves her two daughters, Susan Hervatine and husband Michael of New Castle, and Gretchen Dudois of New York City; three grandchildren, Preston Sager, Amanda Sager and Ronald Reisker, and Waylon Sager; and five great grandchildren, Christopher, Jordan, Nick, Savannah and Ryan Sager.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Otto K. Lynch; her stepfather, Ernest Lynch; and a son, John Dudoic, who passed on Nov. 15, 1979.
The Rev. Richard Nero will conduct a private service at the convenience of the family.
Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, next to her beloved husband.
