Obituary

Louise Marcolivio Former Sharpsville teacher was active in church, golfing Louise Marcolivio, Hermitage, passed away peacefully of natural causes at 7:35 a.m. Tuesday (11-24-15) in Clepper Manor, Sharon. She was 89.

Mrs. Marcolivio was born Sept. 20, 1926, in Baldwin Township, Allegheny County, a daughter of David and Ethel Green McRoberts. Louise graduated from Mount Lebanon High School, Pittsburgh, and matriculated to Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where she earned her bachelor of science degree in education. She was an English teacher for 25 years in Sharpsville Area School District and taught in both the middle and high schools. During her teaching career, she belonged to Pennsylvania State Education Association and the National Education Association.

A charter member of Church of the Good Shepherd, West Middlesex, she belonged to the church for more than 60 years and was active with the Altar Rosary Society. Louise loved to play bridge and enjoyed golfing. She belonged to Tam O'Shanter Ladies Golf League in which she was an officer for several years. A loving wife, mother. grandmother and great-grandmother, she took great joy in her family.

Her husband, James V. Marcolivio, whom she married April 14, 1950, passed away Jan. 12, 2011. She is survived by: her daughter, Kathleen L. Lewis, Volant; a sister, Edyth N. Jones; two brothers, Grant J. McRoberts and his wife Beverly; and Dr. Jay Warren McRoberts and his wife Edith; three grandchildren, Meredith A. Eaton and her husband Rocky; Susan L. Sippola and her husband Jason; and Donald G. Lewis Jr. and his wife Liana; and six great-grandchildren, who were the lights of her life, Hannah and Zachary Sippola, Isabella and Brooklyn Eaton, and Braden and Kendyll Lewis.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Vincent and James P. Marcolivio; and her two brothers, David E. and Robert W. McRoberts.
