Louise E. Hamor, 52 S. Mercer Ave., Sharpsville, PA; formerly a 48 year resident of Columbia Ave., Greenville, PA passed away at 3:10 a.m. Thursday (2-17-11) in Mertz Tower where she moved three weeks ago from Greenville. She was 89.
Mrs. Hamor was born July 28, 1921 in Pittsburgh a daughter of Simon and Clara Starr McMath.
She moved here as a child and was a graduate of Sharpsville High School. Following high school, Louise was employed at the former Sharon Transformer Division of Westinghouse Electric Corporation for six years.
Primarily a homemaker, she assisted her husband, Frank H. Hamor, who owned and operated Hamor Painting, Greenville.
Louise and her husband were married for more than thirty years and enjoyed winters in Florida and camping.
Surviving are: a son, Roy H. Hamor, Sharpsville; a sister, Vera Herrmann, Sharpsville; a brother, Harold McMath and his wife Jean, Sunset Beach, North Carolina and formerly of Sharon; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Louise was preceded in death by her husband Frank; two sisters, Jean and Mary Irene; and two brothers, Robert and Thomas.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Family Hospice and Palliative Care, 1965 Shenango Valley Freeway, # 2, Hermitage, PA 16148.
